My wife and I were married at Hana Bay some 25 years ago (great road trip!).
We saw a beautiful large painting on Maui in metallic paints, looking from a cave into the ocean, with the sun either rising or setting (depending on the lighting). We always regretting not buying the painting then, but were only newly weds on a budget.
We are on another trip in April to Maui and wonder whether Elan Vital Galleries was where we first saw the painting. Are there similar paintings now?
    Please advise

Hi Peter. During our 9 trips to Maui between 2000 and 2011 my wife and I would always make it a point to stop by Elan’s gallery. I would be very surprised if you saw the painting you have described at Elan’s gallery. I have never seen Elan do anything other than abstract works, and I have never seen another artist’s works displayed in Elan’s galleries. If you want to spend some time checking out the Maui art scene, Lahaina has a large concentration of nice galleries. Have a great trip.

Peter, you must be referring to this one by Elan Vital. We purchased it 25 years ago among others. We are presently selling them on eBay at a fraction of what we paid. Check them out on eBay. Our eBay user name is mirgroup. Thanks for looking.
