At The Shops at Wailea, Suite A38, Kush Fine Art & Jewelry presents a full view of Vladimir Kush’s work, paintings, limited editions, sculpture, art books, and a coordinated fine jewelry line.
We’ve been obsessed with his work for decades! We love his fun, thought-provoking imagery. We were even lucky enough to meet Vladimir on a visit! He lives just minutes from the gallery in Wailea, so there’s a good chance you can chat with him too.
The Artist
Vladimir Kush describes his style as metaphorical realism, images built on visual metaphors that link everyday forms to larger ideas. His Maui story began in 2001, when he opened a Lahaina gallery with his father. Core themes recur across the catalog, Metaphors of Love, Spirit of Travel, Sky and Ocean, and they appear in oils, signed editions, and three dimensional pieces.
The Wailea Gallery
The Wailea location replaces the original Front Street space and anchors the brand in South Maui, an easy walk from Grand Wailea, Andaz Maui, and Wailea Beach Resort. Inside, you can discuss techniques, provenance, and care with one of their team members. Packing and insured shipping are arranged on site, so visitors can pick up a small piece or commission a larger work and have it sent home.
What you will see
- Original oil paintings and signed limited edition prints
- Bronze and silver sculpture that translate canvas imagery into sculptural form
- A fine jewelry collection, recurring motifs include butterflies, sails, shells, and island flora
- Gallery and artist books that document series and symbols
Rebuilding after Lahaina
After the August 2023 fires, the team introduced Remembering Lahaina, a focused release that honors the town where the Maui chapter began. The Wailea gallery now serves as the on island home for those works, new releases, and Maui specific editions, making it a practical stop for collectors who want pieces tied to place and date.
Visitor tips
Plan a late morning or afternoon visit to pair the gallery with lunch and nearby boutiques at The Shops at Wailea. Ask staff to walk you through edition sizes and framing options, then compare finishes in the jewelry line to match metals and stones. Parking is on site, and the open air center makes it easy to add a second gallery or a coffee before you head back to the beach.
