“Magic Realism” is, perhaps, the term that better captures the feeling.
Technique:
The interpretive quality of my work is impressionistic in approach; either alla prima or layered by glazing and scumbling.
Education:
Majored in oil painting at Penn State University while minoring in music.
Philosophy:
Art is a visionary expression of ones feelings and thoughts. My goal is to capture the beauty of light, color and form on canvas and share this exhiliration with others.
Art Background:
Studied with Spanish master portrait artist, Sebastian Capella in La Jolla, CA. Studied with landscape artist, Ken Auster in Laguna Beach, CA.

Migration to Maui:
Moved to Maui from San Diego, California area after being invited by friends to relocate.
Interests:
Classical pianist, music instruction, meditation and yoga.
Owned and operated commercial art business “Visionary Graphics” from 1983 to 1988. Owned classical piano teaching business from 1988 to 1993 on Maui and from 1995 to 2002 in San Diego, California.
